How to Enter: Each monthly sweepstakes begins on the first calendar day of each month at 12:00 AM E.T. and ends on 11:59 PM E.T. on the final calendar day of that same month (the "Entry Period"). You can enter this sweepstakes by one of the following three means: Online entry: Enter by taking the Amtrak Trip Ratings survey at http://www.amtraksurvey.com. Phone entry: Enter by taking the Amtrak Trip Ratings survey at (866) 950-TRIP. Mail in entry: Hand print your name, address, home telephone number and age on a 3"X 5" card and mail it to: Amtrak Survey Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 254, Nazareth, PA 18064. Only one entry per outer envelope. Entries must be received during the Entry Period. Only one automatic sweepstakes entry per trip among survey participants.

Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Online entrants must have e-mail access prior to and during each Entry Period. Employees and contractors, and their immediate families, including household members, of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation ("Amtrak"), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising, promotion agencies, and anyone who is employed with a company or organization that contracts with or in any way conducts official business with Amtrak are not eligible to participate.

Conditions of Entry: If you are entering online, you must be the registered subscriber of the e-mail account by which entry is made prior to the Entry Period of the monthly drawing entered. Incomplete entries will not be accepted. All entries become the property of Amtrak and will not be returned. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. All entries must be received between 12:00 AM E.T. on the first calendar day of Entry Period and 11:59 PM E.T. on the final calendar day of Entry Period to be eligible. Entries are valid for monthly drawing for month in which entry occurs only. Re-entry is required to be eligible for each subsequent monthly drawing. Neither Amtrak, nor its respective advertising and promotion agencies, nor any telephone network or service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, misdirected, illegible or postage due entries.

Prizes: In each monthly drawing, ten (10) winners will each be awarded an Amtrak train travel transportation certificate (approximate retail value $500), which is valid for one purchase only. Any remaining balance on transportation certificate after purchase will be retained by Amtrak. Certificate is valid for one full year after date of issuance.

Odds of winning are 1 in 2,307. By accepting this prize, you consent to Amtrak's use of your name and image for promotional purposes, including online announcements, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. No prize substitution, cash substitution, or assignment or transfer of prizes is permitted, except by Amtrak for reason of unavailability in which a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.

Drawing: The prize winners will be determined for each monthly drawing on or about the 15th calendar day after the conclusion of each respective Entry Period by a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The random drawing shall be conducted by an independent judge whose decisions are final with respect to all aspects of the sweepstakes. The winner will be notified by mail and must claim prize within 30 days of notification mailing date.

The winner [and any travel companions] is [are] required to sign a mailed affidavit of eligibility/publicity and liability release, and return it properly executed within 30 days of affidavit mailing date as a condition of awarding the prize. If mailed prize notification is returned as undeliverable or the winner fails to return the mailed affidavits and release as specified, the winner will be disqualified and prize will be forfeited. All prizes not awarded are void. Amtrak is not responsible for technical, telephone, hardware or software malfunction, lost, interrupted, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, including the inaccurate or incorrect capture of online entry information, or any other errors of any kind, however caused, that may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. If, in Amtrak's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with or alteration of any portion of the sweepstakes, or if any technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, by reason of printing or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these official rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than advertised number of prizes will be awarded. Amtrak reserves the right to terminate the sweepstakes or void any or all electronic entries at the end of any month. Persons entering via the web (Internet) must provide a valid email address. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify the sweepstakes judges in writing if the entrant changes his/her email address after entering the sweepstakes. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by Amtrak or its agents.

General: The sponsor of this sweepstakes is Amtrak. This sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. The winner agrees that Amtrak, its affiliates and their agencies and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this sweepstakes or from the acceptance or use of any prize awarded. Amtrak reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of any winner. U.S. law governs this sweepstakes. Amtrak reserves the right to end this sweepstakes or change these Official Rules at the end of any Entry Period without prior notice.
